March 17, 1990 - 60 firefighters responded to Big Blue Store, 2607 Central Ave. Officials said electrical wires were the cause of the $3-million fire. Employees and customers were in the store when the fire started, but there were no injuries. Paint thinner, paint oil, herbicides, pesticides and 20,000 round of ammunition were burned.
