Josiah Green, left, waits as his brother Jesse Pruitt, center, receives a bike from Bartholomew County corrections officer Bryan Love, right, at the Columbus Police Department in Columbus, Ind., Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017. Their mother Naomi Pruitt, who was recently diagnosed scleroderma due to her Lyme Diseasee, was trying to buy a used bike for their brother Isaac for his birthday. She left a note with the person selling the bike asking them to hold the bike for a month due to her recent diagnosis. An anonymous donor learned of the situation and arranged to purchase bikes for all her children with the help of Walmart, The Columbus Police Department and the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department. The bikes were presented as a surprise after they finished their tour of the Columbus Police Department. Mike Wolanin | The Republic
